My Bible is well worn, but I wouldn’t want it any other way! From my daily devotional… so glad I put my pain, angst, and worry in His hands!
“Then, Jerusalem, you will no longer be ashamed of the wrong things your people do against me. That is because I will remove all the bad people from Jerusalem. I will take away all the proud people. There will not be any of them on my holy mountain.”
“I will let only meek and humble people stay in my city, and they will trust the Lord’s name.”
“The survivors of Israel will not do bad things or tell lies. They will not try to trick people with lies. They will be like sheep that eat and lie down in peace—and no one will bother them.””
Zephaniah 3:11 ERV
I have always fought for the less fortunate, the underdog and I know God has always been been with me in protecting and standing up for others. I don’t do it for recognition; I could care less about that - I do it because that is God’s calling. I understand being the underdog, the less fortunate, the lonely, the afraid - I’ve been there. It would be easy to turn my back to wrongs, but I wouldn’t be listening to the Lord. But, even when I can’t help make a postive difference, I know God has the situation in His hands. He never fails!
This chapter is a good reminder that He always has my back even when the world has other plans.
