New shop is coming along. Still can’t get started on the new forge, the ground is pure swampy from all the rain and melted snow and ice. I’m super happy to have somewhere to hang the signs I’ve gotten over the past couple years.

Just a quick test etch on 3 of my hand forged low layer random twist damascus. 8 more hours and they’ll be ready to fit with antler handles and send to the customer. The pattern looks muddy now but that’s a very shallow etch and it’ll clean up considerably after heat treat.

I fired the forge a couple weeks ago after it having been cold since spring. Between my other jobs there’s just not been time. I finally finished up the set of 5 railroad spike steak flippers for a client. There’ll be some blades coming as soon as my materials arrive.
