We’re honored to be featured by the Sentinel Colorado in The Local Look: Friends of Aama Brings Fashion, Culture, and Community Together.

Friends of Aama is about creating space for storytelling, cultural exchange, education, and meaningful connection. Bringing House of Aama ‘s Rebecca Henry and Akua Shabaka into conversation with our community is exactly the kind of experience we believe fashion can create. Sentinel Colorado spotlights what makes this experience so special as we welcome House of Aama to Denver for Season VI.

The most meaningful work is never rushed. It’s carefully crafted.

Six seasons. Countless late nights. Bold decisions. Unshakable belief. What started as a dream has become a movement, and Season VI reflects everything we’ve been building toward, where fashion, culture, and community meet with intention.

As Alicia Myers shares, “Season VI is the season we’ve dreamed about since the day we started Color of Fashion.”

Every challenge became fuel. Every setback became purpose. Every person who believed in us helped make this moment possible.

And as co-founder Samantha Joseph shares, “This is our proudest season yet.”

This is our biggest season. Our boldest. Our most intentional. Our most unforgettable.

August 22, we celebrate how far we’ve come, honor everyone who helped us get here, and give you a glimpse of where we’re going next.
