Long before social media and algorithms, Denver’s creative scene was built through flyers, zines, DIY shows, late nights, and real human connection. Jonny DeStefano and Krysti Joméi have carried that spirit forward through Birdy for nearly 13 years, creating an independent, artist-run platform that has uplifted thousands of creatives.

Birdy has been a huge part of Denver’s creative heartbeat and means so much to so many of us in the Fashion Denver community.

Woman Crush Wednesday goes to the unstoppable Nikki Strickler, producer of Denver Fashion Week and absolute powerhouse human. ✨🩷👏

Spring DFW was a beautiful whirlwind of creativity, and Nikki pours her whole heart into making it happen. From coordinating countless moving pieces behind the scenes to championing Denver’s creative community, her energy seems nearly limitless.

And can we also talk about this look?! 🔥 Cool, confident, editorial energy all day long. Whether she’s behind the scenes producing or stepping in front of the camera, she brings creativity and style so naturally.

Denver is lucky to have someone who works this hard to create space for designers, artists, models, photographers, and dreamers to shine.

Now somebody please make this woman a snack, hand her a cozy blanket, and let her sleep for 14 hours straight. 😆💛

This video takes us back to one of our very first Fashion Denver Markets. The fashion scene in Denver was a lot quieter then… but the creativity, hustle, and passion were already alive.

It has been such a joy watching our local fashion community grow, evolve, and truly shine over the years.

We’re so grateful to have played a small part in the story. And we can’t wait to see what the next chapter brings. ✨🩷
