The beauty is in the details… check out a few features you might not catch at first glance in our Kansas Ambassadors’ outfits…

1. Faith’s bolero jacket features a curved yoke with matching plaids that she altered from the original pattern! Plaids… on a curve… props to you, Faith!
2. A unique sleeve feature and buttons add pizzaz to Faith’s professional yet trendy style. S/o to The Country Fabric Store in Inman, KS for those cute buttons!
3. Vanessa’s coat features a couture reversible lining which is featured in the hand made piping. You also get a sneak peak of her beautiful bound buttonholes in both her coat and jacket!
4. Accessories can make or break an outfit, Vanessa’s handmade flower pin carries the color of her jacket to the outside of her coat. With a little hot glue and creativity she has a one of a kind accessory!

And that’s a wrap on the 2024 Kansas Make It With Wool Contest! What a fun group of contestants this year! It was wonderful to see the versatility of wool through the imagination of each contestant. Looking forward to following and .m.jones take on Nationals in Phoenix, AZ, in January.

Soooo proud of our Kansas girls! Vanessa and Katie killed it at National Make It With Wool this year. Vanessa placed FIRST in the “Machine Embroidery” special award category for her one-of-a-kind jacket and 4th runner-up in the junior division. AND, not only is Katie our newest national senior ambassador, she also won the prestigious “Exemplary Construction” award for her unparalleled attention to the details. There will be more posts to come! So stay tuned!
