Using silk and wool, designer Rachael Levine handmakes and dyes every piece in her Denver, CO studio

An array is defined as an impressive display or range of a particular type of thing, which is exactly what Rachael Levine honors in her brand of wearable art. Derived from array and Rachael's childhood nickname, Rae, Arae offers one-of-a-kind apparel and accessories hand-dyed on silk and and wool using Shibori, an ancient Japanese tie-dye technique that creates imperfectly beautiful patterns that

allow customers to express their own creative styles with every wear. Descending from a long line of artists and entrepreneurs, Rachael proudly draws inspiration from patterns, textures, and colors found in nature as well as elements of different cultures to which she has traveled, like old stained glass windows and Islamic tiling, to name a couple. Rachael's canvas has been fabric ever since she was introduced to a sewing machine at a young age and she hopes that every customer will love wearing their unique garments as much as she loves designing and constructing them. Arae supports the Sakura Foundation, which celebrates Japanese-American heritage, culture, and community in the heart of downtown Denver.

Sold a lottt of our Bolero Vests this past weekend in Chicago and it makes me so happy to see customers try these on in person. The reactions I see people have in the mirror are truly the best, I can tell they’re feeling cool, glamorous, playful, happy, confident, powerful, what more can you ask for in a garment? Just a great reminder that fashion can be transformative and I’m feeling so blessed that something I’ve designed and made, makes people feel all of the above 🙌🏽 Not every new style can be a winner but this one certainly is! Thanks for a wonderful show Chicago!! We’ll be back in the Spring 🤍

If you’re a medium up top, you can wear this easily with a lightweight sweater, or a size small can wear it over heavier layers like a denim jacket or super chunky knit.
