A pal graciously gave me the trust to upcycle this Pretty Lights hoodie this summer. Knowing how much PL means to folks (including me) it was really important to me not to mess this one up. It took SEVERAL processes and some new chemicals but it turned out to be one of my favorite pieces I've ever made!

✨ 🪩 MEET THE MAKER 🪩 ✨

Hi everyone!!! It's been a while 🤩

Figured it was as good a time as ever to do a lil reintroduction and explanation as to why I've been MIA for a bit!

My name is Kait and I'm the human behind the tie dyes! I've been tie dying as a hobby since 2011 and professionally on and off since about 2016! I love all things colorful and funky so tie dye definitely fits right in. When I'm not making wearable art, I am probably boogieing to some live music somewhere or hiking up and down mountains with my dog 💜

As far as a day job goes, I am a 7th grade science teacher! This has been my career for about 5 years now and it certainly is my passion outside of art and music. This may explain why I haven't kept up with posting since last August! My shop never closes, but it is definitely helpful to take a bit of a break seasonally as teaching can seemingly take up my entire life 😅

Very excited to get to posting again for the summer and hopefully get some groovy clothing into the hands of more funky folks! Stay tuned...I have a TON of awesome stuff to share 🫶
