The unsexy secret to holiday magic: prepping before the kids get involved 🎄✂️

Every preschool holiday craft looks adorable in photos… and completely chaotic in real life if you don’t prep. So I pre-open, pre-charge, pre-cut, and pre-portion everything. Glue dots separated. Sequins counted. Water added at home.

The result? Kids feel successful. Teachers stay sane. Parents don’t end up hot-gluing at 9pm.

It’s not about perfection—it’s about setting them up to actually enjoy the making.

If you’re doing crafts for a class this season: do Future You a favor and prep like it’s a production line. Magic > mess 🤍

✨ My Biggest Parenting Hack for Christmas Morning ✨
(And yes, it will change your life.)

Some people prep cookies. Some prep wrapping.
I prep sanity.

Every year, the real chaos of Christmas morning isn’t the excitement…
it’s the boxes.
The zip-ties.
The “Mom, it won’t turn on!”
The hunt for the right batteries.
The tiny screwdriver that has mysteriously vanished since last December.

So here’s my golden rule — one that future-me thanks past-me for every single time:

🎄 Before Christmas morning, I open alllll the toy boxes
🔋 I charge everything that needs charging
🪫 I put batteries in every single toy
🧰 I snip the ties, undo the twisty wires, and set the toys free

That way, on Christmas morning, everything is ready to play. No meltdowns, no “hold on, sweetie,” no tiny plastic handcuffs keeping a toy from doing what it was born to do.

Just magic. ✨
Just joy.
Just a kid diving straight into the fun while you sip your coffee like the organizational queen you are.
