Hey

50 hours was spread among 3 weeks on this custom look for our friend, Anwar Musa, for this year’s Strange Fruit - Black Pride Gala!

Inspired by Ruby Rhod’s character from The Fifth Element, we blended tuxedo and gown homages, celebrating black-queerness and beauty!

After 4 iterations of the rough sketches and patterning, we finally landing on a final design consisting of a wide leg pleated trouser, jacket with a wide detachable double collar, and interior corset.
