A proposed pilot program in Boulder County that would set specific days for hikers, bikers and horseback riders to use certain trails is drawing criticism from many in the community — particularly mountain bikers who say it unfairly targets them.

If you are trail riding, ensure your horse is suited (fit & trained) for the trail you plan to ride. And be sure you have first aid for your horse in addition to water & feed post ride.

Grand County is divided into specific zones (letters and numbers) to make evacuation orders quick and clear. Head over to gcgov.us/GCEvacMap, search your home, work and school address, and memorize your zone!

Keep a close eye on the evacuation colors:

🟢 Green: No evacuation order.

🟡 Yellow: Pre-evacuation warning (Get Ready).

🔴 Red: Immediate evacuation (Go Now).

3. Be Wildfire Ready
