There's always a deeper reason behind starting a business: chasing a dream, following a passion, making a difference, or just wanting control over your future. We've held onto ours for the last 14 years: we do it our way, for our reasons.

We didn't start Knotty Tie to sell more ties. We started it to give refugees dignified work at fair wages, and build something strong enough to sustain that for the long run.

Many refugees arrive in the U.S. as trained tailors, designers, and makers, but credentials from another country don't always transfer. So we built a business around what does: the skill itself. Every tie, bow tie, pocket square, and accessory we make is produced by our team, in-house, in Denver, Colorado.

The impact so far:
- $2,440,871 paid directly to refugee employees
- 14 years of dignified employment
- Real paths to advancement: language learning, technical skills, and roles in management
