Miss Colorado has been crowned Miss America!
Madison Marsh, a 22-year-old second lieutenant in the US Air Force, is the first active duty member of the military ever to be crowned as Miss America. A graduate of U.S. Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs, Madison is the fourth Miss Colorado to become Miss America. The other three were Rebecca Ann King from Sterling in 1973, Marilyn Van Derbur of Denver in 1957, and Sharon Ritchie of Denver in 1955.

In addition to her military service, Madison is a National Truman Scholar, two-time National Astronaut scholar, eight-time Dean’s List at the Air Force Academy, a National Rhodes finalist, certified private pilot, a black belt in taekwondo, and a graduate of the Kennedy School at Harvard.
