Established in 2014 by brothers Michael and Stephen Chiesa, Elephant Corral, (EC) is a Denver-based art collective, creating art works that reflect the rich and diverse history of Denver, Co. Chiesa are well-versed in the artistic and creative traditions - with jazz music permeating the halls of their historic Montclair neighborhood home, both brothers came to respect antiquity and forward-thinkin

g artistic expression, culminating in several successful ventures as musicians and band-leaders themselves. The impetus behind creating Elephant Corral, was a desire to focus the vibrant radiance of the Denver art scene, through the lens of narrative history. By creating an art company that celebrates a creative and progressive lifestyle, while also respecting the past, EC is a unique and edifying destination for those interested Denver, Co and it’s history. Working directly with local artists and historians, while maintaining a presence at events, festivals, and on-line, Elephant Corral provides art consumables about the people and communities of Denver, Co.

Internationally acclaimed Chinese contemporary artist Ai Weiwei has reinterpreted the twelve bronze animal heads representing the traditional Chinese zodiac that once adorned the famed fountain-clock of the Yuanming Yuan, an imperial retreat in Beijing. Circle of Animals/Zodiac Heads is the artist’s first major public sculpture project.
