Just a quick update as prom season is approaching. I have very limited time this year as I am dealing with some personal things. If you have reached out to me, and have not heard back yet, I am so very sorry and am doing my best to get caught up on all communications. As always, if you know you need alterations done, it is best to reach out early!

I can’t wait to get pictures of her in it and the full look together, but I have had so much fun working on this dress!! Added a corset to the dress, made the straps wider, and made this fantastic reversible cape!!! So much fun!!

It has been a wonderfully crazy month. I have picked up more business than I expected, which is great! But that also meant I haven’t had a moment to breathe!!! Not shocking, I don’t have many - if any - pictures as I have been more focused on just getting the work done. I will include the few I have taken for an idea of all that has been happening.

One of the most exciting things that has happened, I have connected with Magnolias Formal Wear and I have loved being able to help alter their dresses for their clients! They are absolutely amazing! They have designer dresses to rent for your events at an amazing price! I have been so honored to work with them this season and can’t wait to see what happens next with them!!

Fun project, took a clients wedding dress and altered to work for her daughters first communion! They loved it and she looks adorable in it! I don’t have a child size mannequin so the dress is sitting funny, but on her it looks amazing!

First draft of a dress I am designing and the kiddo is willing to be the model! This is just the muslin mock up so I can make all the needed adjustments before cutting the final fabric. Limited fabric, so I need to be right before I cut it! There will be three layers of fabric and lots of detail the mock up doesn’t show. Ignore the mess of my sewing room as I was doing a lot of things all at once.

I am so bad at remembering to take and show off pictures of what I have been doing!! Here is the first round of photos. The red outfits are the original outfits for a couple dogs. I made the Easter outfits and had to make adjustments to better fit the dogs. I don’t have photos of the cuties in their new outfits, but they were so much fun to make! I used the red outfit to make a new pattern, then adjusted the pattern as needed to better fit, then used the updated pattern to make the new outfit.

I am terrible at taking pictures of the things I do so I can post them. This past week seems to be the zipper replacement week! Many jackets now have new and functional zippers on them. I did take a few pictures of a jacket I repaired as well. A couple before and after. I did a reinforcement in the waist piece as it was a spot that gets tugged at all the time.
