This won’t be the easiest thing to write.
Iowa has passed a law that goes into effect on January 1st, 2025. It will put a 40% tax on all glass/metal smoking devices and we would be expected to pay a large sum to the state to even be able to have it on the shelf.
There are many obstacles that we are able to overcome, but this one is different. Iowa already took away delta sales, and now they are targeting a large portion of our shop.
It took a long time but we did finally come to the decision to leave an industry that is actively trying to be pushed out of this state. We are sad to announce that our last day open to the public will be 09/30/2024. We apologize for the short notice, but this has been our happy place for 5 years and it is incredibly hard to see it go.
We want to thank each and every one of you that we have met and served over the years, you all made it great. There are countless memories that we will all cherish forever. Boy was it a fun journey!
