Summer in Des Moines just got a lot cooler. ☀️🌿

As we move closer to opening our doors in Highland Park, we’re making sure our library is stocked for the season ahead. We’ve just added over 140 new linen fabrics to the Highlander & Co. collection.

Linen is perfect for the humid summer heat of Iowa, it's light in weight, breathable, textured, and effortlessly refined.

📣Seeing our story in the paper is the perfect way to mark a major milestone:
This month is officially our one-year anniversary in business. What started as a mobile pilot a year ago has grown into a vision for something permanent here in Highland Park. But as we look toward opening our storefront in Des Moines, I reflect on a few things I want everyone to know.

❕Your Wardrobe, Our Collaboration
We believe your clothing should be a conversation, not a transaction. Because we specialize in custom, you have the largest seat at the table. We’re here to facilitate your style, giving you the final say in exactly how you present yourself to the world. It’s a collaborative process from the first measurement to the smallest details (like what color to make the threads inside the buttons on a shirt).

One key thing for us is that the clothing is only half of the value we want to provide. The other half is, the information, the community, and the experience of being taken care of. A place to ask questions, to extend your comfort zone, and to grow.

❕Not Stopping Now
While we work through the opening process, please know we are still taking clients and making some great garments!
We have some big things in store for our clients that are with us before the location opens, so if you are interested in what we are doing please reach out!

Hi everyone, it's Jess 👋
I wanted to hop on here to wish Jared Amundson, owner of Highlander & Co, the happiest of birthdays! 🎉🥳

I am beyond proud of the work he’s done to bring his vision to life. Back in 2018, he told me it was his dream to open his own men’s store and today, he’s truly living it. Watching him build this from the ground up has been incredible.

Thank you all for supporting him and believing in his goals. If you haven’t already, drop him a happy birthday in the comments and treat yourself (or someone you love) to some seriously great menswear. 👔

So grateful for clients like these who took a chance on Highlander & Co. and trusted me with pieces for such meaningful moments. From celebrating a wedding day to showing up sharp for a holiday party, it is an honor to be part of these memories.

As the year winds down, I am feeling especially thankful for the support, trust, and encouragement from this community.
