🍻 The Thirsty 3 Race Series is officially underway now that Hightail to Ale is in the books, and the celebration is shifting from the city pavement to Michigan’s most beautiful harvest landscapes. Up next on September 27th is the 2026 Scrumpy Skedaddle at Almar Orchards in Flushing, serving up crisp country miles across a legendary organic family farm. Whether you tackle the 5K, 10K, or 10-miler, your hard work is rewarded with an epic after-party featuring hot pancakes, live music, and a pour of world-renowned J.K.’s Scrumpy Hard Cider, complete with a custom finisher cup and a medal that doubles as a functional bottle opener.

The grand finale lands just one week later on October 3rd with the 2026 Running Between the Vines at Sandhill Crane Vineyards. Choose your challenge between the 5K, 5-mile, or Half Marathon, and prepare for a gorgeous autumn course where a few playful, fast zombies might just chase you through the vineyard rows. The 2026 Hightail to Ale just went off with a bang! Lighting the Detroit riverfront up with runners from all over! Huge shoutout to all the runners, walkers and supporters who showed up and showed out! A special shoutout to our awesome volunteer brew crew who made this event possible! We couldn’t have done it without you!

🍺 Detroit, you can still Hightail!

Didn’t register yet? No problem. Late registration will be available on race day, so you can still jump into one of the most fun Friday nights of the spring.

Race day packet pickup and registration open Friday at 4:00 PM at Atwater Brewery, so if you’ve been thinking about it, there’s still time to grab your spot and head to the starting line.

The 2026 Hightail to Ale takes over the Detroit riverfront with a fast, flat 5K starting and finishing at Atwater Brewery. Expect skyline views, smooth miles, river breezes, and a finish line that quickly turns into a full-on party.

Once the run is over, stick around for cold drinks, live music, food trucks, and a packed riverfront patio full of runners and friends kicking off the weekend together.
