Sometimes the best way to move on is to make something new🪡🧵

What began as a little heartbreak turned into a new dress, a matching bag, and a whole new vibe!

For this transformation, I used the Baby Lock Triumph serger, featuring RevolutionAir™ looper threading, easy push button needle threading, automatic thread delivery (which allows you to work with different fabric weights without adjusting tension), and 87 stitch combinations, including the exclusive Wave Stitch!!

Because with the right machine, a little creativity can turn almost anything into something you love!

Start with your stencil. Use a water or heat erasable pen. You can trace or free hand or they even make fusible paper you can print on! I just googled “chain stitch font” and typed in the word I wanted.

Thread your needle with embroidery floss. I like to use a larger needle because it’s easier to thread! Tie a knot at the end of your thread.
Tip* Start with less slack to avoid tangling*

Bring your needle up through the fabric from back to front.

Start at the beginning of a letter or line.

Pull until thread goes taut.

Bring your needle back down just barely right of the hole you just made. Like literally a fiber or two off!

In the same motion, bring your needle up two or three millimeters forward on your guide, but don’t pull needle all the way through!

Pick up the piece of thread that’s right next to the needle, hold firm.

Wrap clockwise once around the needle

It should look like this.

Now finish pulling your needle through.

This is the best part guys

Don’t pull too tight!!

You want each stitch to have the same tension so just be gentle!

All done! Tie a knot in the back and weave the tail in!! SAVE this video for later!!

Birthday crowns, bags, shirts! What are you going to chain stitch?
