About Lotus Essences

My name is Mayra Torres, I am the owner/operator of Lotus Essences – Women’s Boutique. I’m married and have four children. My family and I came to the United States knowing that we would have great opportunities. The U.S.A. is a country built by immigrants and has opportunities for everyone. My husband, children, and I are very fortunate to be a part of this country’s growth. I feel blessed to share this journey of life. That has brought positive changes and growth on a personal and professional level with the extraordinary support my husband and children are both giving me.

Detroit is the community that received me and my family with open arms. We are a part of the growing diversity and development growth in all aspects. I strongly feel that Detroit is abundant and I am proud to grow with the friendly and radiant vibe it has to offer to all ethnic and multicultural backgrounds, I also feel obligated to give back in the near future by creating employment opportunities to the residents in this beautiful community.

I have been a business woman since the age of twenty. I administered my own boutique in Mexico for eight consecutive years. My boutique business was very successful however I found the need for better opportunities for my children, so we moved to Michigan in the United States in 2010. Detroit became our home and that which inspired my vision to help women shine from within, to make them feel unique. The experience I have had as a female entrepreneur pushed me to rebuild my business in our new home. The idea for Lotus Essences was born and distinguishes itself from a typical retail store by realizing the essence and unique beauty that is in each and every woman. In Lotus Essences, we have created feeling of family with our clients, our special commitment to each woman to provide just what she needs to highlight her figure and to bring out her authentic beauty.
