Different colorways made these two Fiesta quilts look like two different patterns but nope! Same pattern and even the same fabric line! Color is such fun! I generally lean towards warm tones but love the cooler blues and teals, as well. What is your favorite or "go to" color palette?

Mirabelle recently premiered at the North Texas Quilt Festival with great customer response. It's a surprisingly easy to make design with lots of alternative color options. Pattern is available from my webstore or you can find it in my booth at the upcoming Quilt-A-Fair event in Longmont, Colorado and at the Houston International Quilt Festival in November.

The calendar says it is the end of summer, regardless of what the weather thinks. I may not be getting out the sweaters yet, but I am celebrating the last hurrah of the season with a holiday of sewing and studio time.

Have a safe and happy Labor Day holiday!

Quilt is Star Swept from my website or select local quilt shops.
