This month, Kaleel’s will be donating to the Crown of Courage Fund, founded by local resident Melissa Feit. After recently undergoing cancer treatment herself, Melissa was inspired to help others facing the same journey.
One of the challenges many cancer patients face is hair loss during treatment. Cold capping is a method that can help reduce or prevent hair loss, allowing patients to maintain a sense of identity and confidence during an incredibly difficult time. Unfortunately, the treatment can be expensive and is often not covered by insurance.
Melissa established the Crown of Courage Fund to help make cold capping more accessible to others. The fund will provide financial assistance, helping individuals preserve not only their hair, but also a piece of themselves during a challenging chapter of life.

The generous volunteers at the St. Vincent de Paul Society help to ease that burden—now and throughout the entire year.
