FULL CIRCLE MOMENT 🖤💛✨
From an internship in 2014 to a design in 2019 to the Steelers runway in 2026… Pittsburgh, it feels good to be home. ✨🙏
Who would’ve thought a design I created for my thesis back in ‘19 would one day find its way onto the Steelers Style runway?! 🏈 After making appearances at different events throughout the years, this design found yet another home in the FINALE of the Paris segment: Here OUI Go! 🇫🇷
But the full-circle moments didn’t stop there…
After moving back to Pitt this spring, Dennis Astorino forwarded Steelers Style and encouraged me to look into it. The second I saw it, I was like.. OMG, KIYA!
I had the privilege of interning with Kiya Tomlin | Sustainable Women's Fashion + Licensed NFL Apparel in high school, and she forwarded my info to Demeatria Boccella, who brought me on as a designer/stylist. A reminder that God can weave together chapters of our lives in ways we never could have planned. 🌠
I also had the opportunity to alter and upcycle Steelers jerseys for the Legacy in Style segment ♻️ 🧵🪡 and help style the looks for the show, combining my love for fashion with giving existing pieces new life.
A month of behind-the-scenes work finally came to life on the runway, and I’m so excited to share a glimpse of what I’ve been working on!
Beyond the fashion, this event supports incredible causes, with proceeds benefiting the UPMC Sports Medicine Concussion Program, Cancer Bridges, and the Chuck Noll Foundation. ❤️
The charitable side of this event made it especially meaningful to me. After my mom’s cancer diagnosis in 2024 and her journey to remission, supporting causes that touch so many lives hits a little closer to home. ❤️
A HUGE thank you to Dennis for sharing the opportunity, Kiya for helping make this connection possible, Demeatria for bringing me onto the team, and all the incredible stylists and creatives I had the pleasure of working alongside. And all my fam and friends who have been supporting me along the way! It takes a village to bring a vision to life, and I’m so grateful to have been part of this one. 🖤💛
