We’re excited to invite you to our first High Ho Gems Market of 2026 on Wednesday, June 10, from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM.

We’ll have a variety of holistic vendors, local artisans, and fresh produce available in the parking lot in front of High Ho Gems on 191st Street in Mokena.

Whether you’re looking for handmade items, unique gifts, fresh local produce, crystals, a Reiki session or simply want to spend a pleasant evening supporting local businesses, we’d love to see you there.

Bring a friend, stop by after work, and enjoy a relaxed community gathering right here in Mokena.

Today was the 10th anniversary of Neil's re-birthday. I planned to post something deep and beautiful this morning because I was doing better than most anniversary days. Then the day got the better of me so I am finally just getting here now.

I am feeling so much heartfelt gratitude for all of the people who reached out to tell me they care. Some messaged long before today to say they were thinking of me. Many posted today or called to say they were thinking of me today. One kind soul who I haven't even met in person yet actually made time to send flowers. That is a very special thing indeed.

There were many posts by people who remember to honor Neil here every year. Those always touch me deeply. I could never stand the thought he would be forgotten.

Then there was Neil himself. I always honor the ways he shows up with messages and synchronicities in my life.

There was the sweet little clean fluffy white feather I found in the mud.

There was a new store that followed my Angels Aura Healing Jewelry page, located in Defiance OH, it's important because DEFIANCE is my word for the year. I believe I have a new friend.

I received a message that my submission for a book was authorized and ready to publish by the editor, who did not realize today was significant until after we spoke.

These may seem like small items to many of you who do not live with the loss of a child, but they are grand gestures from the universe in my book. Ask any grieving parent, I'll bet they agree.

I will go to sleep tonight, as always, with deep gratitude for the gift of another day.

I learned a new phrase this morning: hope isn't denial of the bad things, it's DEFIANCE. I can honestly say my losses through death of loved ones knocked me down. Thanks to so many beautiful people in my grief support groups, especially Tom Zuba teaches A New Way to Do Grief, Rachel Slagle Pearson , and Marie Hess I was not able to even consider denying it. I love my group of defiant people who help me continue to grow far beyond the pain, all the moms and dads, my dear sisters and brothers in grief. To tge ones like Marina Kostina who defied physical death. Light workers like Angel Marie Monachelli and my friends Jeffrey D Mankin and Jessica Marie at High Ho Gems. Here's to 2026...watch out world!
