Save the date. On June 17, the New Mexico Museum of Art invites you to a lunch hour gallery talk for Rooted Strong: Visions of America from New Mexico, on view at the Plaza Building.

Director of Curatorial Affairs Alexandra Terry and Associate Curator Katie Doyle will explore works from the museum's collection, examining the ways artists have responded to and shaped the histories of New Mexico's lands and people.

🚗🚙🚐The countdown is on for Saturday's Route 66 Caravan & 72 oz. Steak Challenge, presented by the History Museum and City of Santa Fe! Held at the museum & on the Santa Fe Plaza, this family-friendly event celebrates 100 years of the historic travel route!

Saturday, June 13, 1 - 7 PM

🍨1 - 3 PM - Enjoy a "Route-beer" float in the Palace of the Governors courtyard while supplies last
🚙2 - 7 PM - See classic cars parked around the Plaza
🎶3 PM - Listen to DJ Christina Swilley spin 50s & 60s tunes
🎤3 PM Hear from special guests - artist Darryl Willison, Influencer Caitlyn Krantz, Chef Johnny Vee, and players from Santa Fe Adult Hockey
🍽️5:30 PM - Watch a steak-eating contest presented by Big Texan Steak Ranch and Bull Ring

[AD] Every July, artists from all around the world gather in Santa Fe for something magical – the International Folk Art Market! has over 150 artisans from over 50 different countries. And as a certified shopaholic, trust me when I say this is THE event to go to. ✨💃🛍️
Walking through the market feels like taking a trip across continents in a single afternoon. I bought a ring made in Kazakhstan and a piece of pottery from Peru and home decor from India. You can get handmade clothing, accessories and jewelry, home decor and pottery - there really is a bit of everything!
Mark your calendars for July 9-12 when 2026’s edition will be, as this is one of those events that belongs on your bucket list!
