SEPTEMBER EDIT 🍂
I’m going to slowly start sharing little previews of what’s coming to the shop this fall. But first, a little story about why I buy the way I buy.
In my early 30s I had this shift.
I used to think, don’t spend too much on clothes, I change my mind all the time anyway. Or, it doesn’t matter if something lasts, I’ll just get something new.
Then it hit me…the pieces in your wardrobe can be staples for a lifetime.
I stopped drying everything. Started dry cleaning when it actually mattered. Started thinking quality over quantity, building a wardrobe meant to last instead of moving through trends.
I started viewing my clothes as an investment in myself. Who made them. How they were treated. What the fabric actually felt like against my skin.
And suddenly the cost didn’t feel high anymore, because the value was there.
I’m not perfect. I still fill gaps with impulse buys that aren’t exactly slow or intentional. But the cost of fast fashion will always outweigh what you put into small brands, into makers, into yourself, when you start curating with care.
You don’t need to spend a fortune. And honestly, some brands out there have lost their damn minds on pricing, let’s be real.
But when you invest in clothing that invests in the world and the people who made it, it stops being just a thing. It becomes a gift you gave yourself. Not trash you’re adding to the world.
That’s the heart behind many of the pieces landing in the shop this fall. Can’t wait to show you 🤎
