Meet Nicki. The heart behind Sotavent.

From dreaming up the space to welcoming every person through the door, she’s poured so much love into creating a place that feels warm, intentional, and full of discovery.

Nicki married Josep, the grandson of Mariona, who started the original Mariona shop in Tossa de Mar. Together, they brought Mariona to the States, and eventually created Sotavent.

Sotavent is a reflection of some of the things she loves most: thoughtful design, meaningful conversations, beautiful everyday moments, and bringing people together.

It started with empty walls, paint samples, ladders, and a vision.

Over the past few months, we’ve poured so much of ourselves into creating a space that feels warm, welcoming, and true to who we are. There were long days, late nights, countless trips to the hardware store, and more coffee than we’d like to admit, but every moment was worth it.

Watching it all come together has been one of the most rewarding experiences, and getting to welcome you through the doors made it even more meaningful.

Thank you for following along from the very beginning. Whether you’ve been here since our first storefront or just discovered us, we’re so grateful you’re part of this next chapter.
