"Flagship was started to change how t-shirts were perceived in our city of Duluth. The "crack-after-one-wash" tourist tee was something we loathed. We wanted to challenge that; ensuring every tee told a story. We screen-printed shirts live, right in front of people, and in doing so changed the dynamic of t-shirts in Canal Park.
Over time, rising costs and the challenges presented to Canal Park and small businesses in the area, including construction woes and a drop in tourism energy, have forced us to explore our business model and the energy we were dedicating to our locally-driven brand.
With that in mind, we've made the tough decision to close our physical location in Canal Park after the Christmas season. This isn't a forever goodbye - it's a 'see you later.' We plan to bring our core designs online for purchase and continue to push the boundaries and elevate what a 'Duluth tee' can be.
We extend a huge and heartfelt 'thank you' to all our customers, supporters, artists, employees, friends, and family for the love."
