We’re looking forward to being part of the 33rd Annual Downtown Dunedin Craft Festival in Florida the weekend of April 25–26!
As we get closer, we’ve been thinking about how this part of our work began.
In 2011, we started a program we named "Tapestry of Love" partnering directly with artisans in Ecuador. We purchase handmade jewelry, shawls, earrings, and other items to share here at home. What began as a simple idea has grown into something much deeper over the past 15 years.
We’ve worked with the same families year after year. We’ve watched their children grow. And through this ongoing program of our organization, Bless the Children, those children have had the chance to go to school.
Every piece we bring to these festivals represents more than craftsmanship. It reflects a relationship. A steady, ongoing effort to support families who are working hard but living with very little. Over the years, thousands of these handmade items have found their way into the hands of people who wanted their purchases to mean something more.
We’re grateful to continue this work through Tapestry of Love, and to share it with you in Dunedin soon! Our booth will be across the street from The Living Room restaurant, where Highland crosses Main Street.
