🌸 What a Beautiful Weekend in Dunedin, Florida! 🌸

We had an incredible time participating in the 33rd Annual Downtown Dunedin Craft Festival this weekend! Our booth was filled with kind, thoughtful shoppers who came ready to support the artisans and families in Ecuador that we have had the privilege of working with for over 15 years through Tapestry of Love, a program of Bless the Children.

This work began when we first traveled to Ecuador and met incredibly talented artists living in very difficult conditions. While their craftsmanship was remarkable, many struggled to provide for their families, and their children often could not attend school due to financial hardship.

What started as a simple idea, purchasing their handmade jewelry and textiles and sharing them here at home, has grown into a meaningful, ongoing partnership that continues to support these families year after year.

We are so thankful to everyone who stopped by, spent time with us, and made a purchase. Your support truly makes a difference in the lives of these families and helps create opportunities for their children.

And to our incredible volunteers, thank you for being there every step of the way, from setting up to packing up and everything in between. It truly takes a community to carry this work forward, and we are grateful for each and every one of you. đź’—

🤍 Spending time with the artisans in Ecuador who create these beautiful pieces is something we will never forget.

These photos were taken during our visit to their studio and workshop, where we sat together as they carefully crafted necklaces from tagua nut and açaí berries, each piece shaped by hand using materials from their own environment. Many of the women were dressed in their traditional Ecuadorian clothing, something still worn with pride in their daily lives.

What stays with us most is their spirit. They are cheerful, welcoming, and full of love. There was so much joy and laughter. They take great care in the work they do.

Through Tapestry of Love, a program of Bless the Children, we are grateful to walk alongside these families, helping create opportunities for a better quality of life and for their children to go to school. Thank you for being part of this program.

Join us at the 33rd Annual Downtown Dunedin Craft Festival the weekend of April 25–26.

Through Tapestry of Love, a program of Bless the Children, we’ll be sharing handmade jewelry, shawls, and more, created by artisans in Ecuador we’ve worked with for many years.

We look forward to seeing you there!

We’re looking forward to being part of the 33rd Annual Downtown Dunedin Craft Festival in Florida the weekend of April 25–26!

As we get closer, we’ve been thinking about how this part of our work began.

In 2011, we started a program we named "Tapestry of Love" partnering directly with artisans in Ecuador. We purchase handmade jewelry, shawls, earrings, and other items to share here at home. What began as a simple idea has grown into something much deeper over the past 15 years.

We’ve worked with the same families year after year. We’ve watched their children grow. And through this ongoing program of our organization, Bless the Children, those children have had the chance to go to school.

Every piece we bring to these festivals represents more than craftsmanship. It reflects a relationship. A steady, ongoing effort to support families who are working hard but living with very little. Over the years, thousands of these handmade items have found their way into the hands of people who wanted their purchases to mean something more.

We’re grateful to continue this work through Tapestry of Love, and to share it with you in Dunedin soon! Our booth will be across the street from The Living Room restaurant, where Highland crosses Main Street.
