Why firefighter’s base layer apparel matters.

Prior to my employment as a career firefighter, I marketed firefighter PPE and was a firm believer that it did NOT matter what a firefighter wore under their PPE. But during my employment I witnessed a procedure where a colleague was severely burned and the burn center had to remove his regular base layer shirt from his skin.

After that, I became a believer in what is worn under a firefighter’s PPE DID matter. From that point on, I swore that I would find an economical solution to help my brothers and sisters. This led to the creation of the Ignis Line Flame-Resistant Base Layer Shirt. This shirt is marketed for more than 30% less than other Flame-Resistant Base Layer Shirts. Currently only $40-$43 on Kickstarter.

The Flame-Resistant T-Shirt campaign has gained tremendous traction around the industry and it is 28% funded with 25 days to go. The campaign visit statistics and the messages I am receiving are very promising. But I still need your support!

Note that FB algorithms deter you from posting a link that sends you outside of their network so I have included the link in the picture. You can also search for the campaign on the Kickstarter website.

I have been contacted by many individuals and departments to purchase larger quantities. So I am working on how to incorporate these potential orders into the campaign.

Also, I will be sharing our partners who will be offering imprinting in the next day or two.
