🚨 BOXES NEEDED ASAP! 🚨

We have a huge favor to ask our amazing community.

We’re getting ready to clean up after the benefit sale, and everything that didn’t sell is being donated in the next TWO HOURS. The only thing we’re desperately short on is boxes.

If you have any moving boxes, Amazon boxes, grocery boxes, or any clean boxes you’re willing to part with, could you please drop them off this morning? Unfortunately, we’re up to our ears in sorting and loading, so we aren’t able to pick them up.

Every box helps us get these donations packed up and into the hands of organizations that can use them.

One of my favorite “trust your gut” flips ever…

I spotted this plate at a yard sale (or thrift store… honestly, I can’t even remember where I found it anymore). It was wrapped up, looked old, and something about it told me to take a chance.

Price paid: $5.

Fast forward to today… I finally opened the packaging because I needed to know if it was the real deal.

It is.

Solid sterling silver. 😳 6” plate.

I checked the sold listings on eBay, and the most recent comparable sold for over $500 less than two weeks ago.

The funniest part? Before I closed the store, this somehow got mixed in with the store inventory and ended up with a $12 price tag. And then thrown into our final yard sale we had before the benefit sale going on now with again a $5 price tag. 🤦🏼‍♀️ Imagine if someone had grabbed it before I realized what it actually was!

And for the people who love to complain about prices at antique stores, thrift stores, estate sales, or reseller shops… this is exactly why you never know what deal you’re walking past. Everyone sees a $12 plate. The person willing to learn, research, and take a chance might be looking at a $500+ piece.

Sometimes you’re paying for an item that’s already been identified. Sometimes you’re paying for the opportunity to find the treasure yourself.

Either way… this one was a heck of a reminder that the best deals are still out there. 🤷🏼‍♀️

🚨 VOLUNTEERS NEEDED THIS WEEK! 🚨

You all have absolutely blown us away with your generosity. We have taken in more donations than we know what to do with—which is an amazing problem to have—but right now, it’s way more than the two of us can handle.

If you have even a couple of hours to spare this week, we could really use your help sorting, pricing, organizing, and getting everything ready.

Volunteer Hours:
📍 Monday: 10:00 AM – 3:00 PM
📍 Wednesday: 3:00 PM – 7:00 PM
📍 Thursday: 2:00 PM – 6:00 PM
📍 Friday: Early birds welcome starting at 6:00 AM ☀️
📍 Saturday & Sunday: Anytime!

We also wanted to let everyone know that any further donations will be held until Monday, August 3rd, so they can be saved for the second round of the benefit sale.

I’m honestly begging for some extra hands this week. We are so grateful for every donation, but there’s simply no way two people can get all of this ready on our own.

If you can help for an hour or all day, please let us know. Every single pair of hands makes a huge difference. ❤️ Thank you all for helping make this benefit sale something truly incredible.

A HUGE thank you to everyone who came out today to help us get ready for next weekend’s Benefit Yard Sale for Chrissy! ❤️

We got an incredible amount accomplished, and honestly, these pictures don’t even show half of what was done. We sorted, organized, priced, moved, and made a huge dent in everything that needs to happen before the sale.

That said… we’re nowhere near done! 😅 There is still SO much more to go through, unpack, and bring out to be priced. If today is any indication, this is going to be one MASSIVE yard sale with something for everyone.

From the bottom of my heart, thank you to everyone who has donated, volunteered, shared our posts, and continues to support this fundraiser for Chrissy. Every helping hand is making a difference, and we couldn’t do this without all of you.
