Listen.

I heard a pretty big influencer say that
there are no stories a 40+-year-old woman can tell
that anyone will listen to.

That’s a lie.

A wise woman once told me,
if you do the opposite of what everyone feels like you should do,
you’ll probably find the most joy.

Take the risk.
Dive in to that new thing.
Choose the new path.
Lean into your fears.

There’s a kind of joy there
you can’t even hold.
And it’s true.
I learned this by listening—
to women who’ve stood where I’m standing now.

So open your mind and be willing to learn from anyone.
Younger. Older. In between-
You never know what you will learn.

I remember wanting African Village pieces when I was younger…
the textures, the prints, the feeling of them

-never thought I’d find some may good pieces at one time.

and not even for me at first—
a client was looking
and somehow, I found exactly what was needed

Ouuuh this feels know I’m walking in alignment….
what’s meant finds me too.

The last shot was of me rolling out to thrift today and some gems were found💯 .

I keep telling myself I’m trying to find my personal style, but my mind tells me I’m just lying to myself.
I think I’m just trying to compare my wardrobe to the pieces I sell.
I’m realizing …..
It can be a challenge to share who you are and what you love to wear because it may not reflect what you’re selling …..
But It does.
I am attracted to things that are beautiful to me….. period
I don’t curate based on sameness.
I curate based on feeling.
I personally love a wardrobe that I can repeat over and over again, I love brass jewelry, I love adidas over heels… and please pass me some oversized jeans ! I love to wear my fUPa out, cropped pieces, and a statement bag. I love designer frames. I love to pay reasonable prices for things because of my budget……
Sometimes my budget won’t allow the things I love! But I’m getting to the point where I’m able to invest in those pieces too. 🙌🏾
Overall if it speaks to me , I’m drawn to it .
This is where I am today! Let’s see what tomorrow brings 💯

South Carolina owes me nothing ! I had so much and experienced so much joy this weekend ! It was a requirement 😩 to hit up some thrift stores and flea markets in between home and my destination…. and found some good pieces and solid memories to add to my life ❤️. I didn’t really have a mapped plan …but it turned out good to me !

I absolutely love color — but don’t get it twisted, black and brown will always have my heart.

I’ve mentioned the 26th (wherever I decide to host it 👀), and yes, there will be some beautiful colorful fall and winter pieces. Black and brown pieces will be going on the website as well.

These are vintage finds — all vintage, actually — and many of them are winter-ready. Since we’re already pretty deep into the season, they’ll be about 20% less, which honestly makes it even better. These pieces deserve a new home.
