Today marks my 6 year anniversary as Manager of Duvall Eyecare!
Six years ago, I accepted this role thinking I knew what I was getting into. It turns out managing an eye care practice involves much more than helping people see better—it also includes fixing printers, solving mysteries, answering questions I never imagined I'd be asked, and and realizing that keeping 15 people moving in the same direction is harder than fitting a progressive lens.
Over the last six years, I've learned that no two days are ever the same, and that's part of what makes this job so rewarding. I've had the privilege of working with an incredible team that keeps me laughing, keeps me humble, and somehow manages to make even the busiest days enjoyable.
To our patients: thank you for trusting us with your eye care and for keeping us on our toes with your stories, questions, and sense of humor.
And to the Duvall Eyecare team: thank you for putting up with my endless meetings, random ideas, and occasional reminders that "if it's not documented, it didn't happen."
Here's to six years of helping people see better, drinking coffee, solving problems, and wondering where the day went. Looking forward to seeing what the next six years bring! Fiona
