Sew.stile.ish Designs Handmade ponchos for children allow you to strap them safely into car seats, all fully lined and cozy. Adult and children’s ponchos as well!

I have been a seamstress for many years, and I love creating beautiful clothing and home accessories. The reason I started making children’s ponchos was because of the new car seat rules:
“As a general rule, winter coats should not be worn underneath the harness of a car seat. A bulky coat under a
child seat harness can result in the harness being too loose to be effective in

a crash.”

The ponchos are made from various fabrics including soft fleece, soft brushed polyester, or sweater fleece, and are lined with either soft fleece or the favored Sherpa material. All of the designs are custom. I make the ponchos out of my home on a part-time basis. My home is a pet-free and smoke-free environment. All the material is pre-washed and pre-shrunk, therefore machine washable and dryable. This is very important for children’s clothing. I design ponchos for girls and boys and I also make Mommy & Me matching ponchos, let me know if you are interested. Please pass along my contact information to family and friends.
