🛠️ Work in Progress
Some projects need extra love.
This vintage oil rain lamp has been completely cleaned, the motor has been tested, and now I've hit the biggest obstacle yet...the original plastic pump housing has cracked beyond repair.
Replacement parts for these lamps are incredibly hard to find, so now I'm weighing two options:
🖨️ Design and 3D-print a replacement housing to preserve the original pump.
💧 Retrofit it with a modern aquarium pump hidden inside to keep the lamp running for years to come.
Part of restoring vintage pieces is knowing when to preserve... and when to adapt.
What would you do?
Would you prioritize originality with a custom 3D-printed part, or reliability with a modern pump?
This one isn't finished yet, but I'm excited to see where the journey leads.

Some pieces just want to be understood.

This Victorian rocking chair still has incredible bones and I fell in love at the thrift store. It has beautiful carved details, graceful lines, and decades of history. The upholstery has seen better days, but underneath is a piece that's absolutely worth saving.
I'm still deciding where its next chapter will lead.

Should it stay true to its Victorian roots with rich, traditional fabric?

Or should it be reimagined with something timeless that lets the wood take center stage?

I can't wait to see where this one ends up.

Sometimes the best finds don't need to be changed.
These vintage portrait earrings caught my eye the moment I found them. The delicate artwork, aged patina, and ornate settings tell a story that's already complete...I just happened to be the next caretaker.

One of the things I love most about vintage pieces is wondering where they've been and who wore them before they found their way here.

Now they're ready for their next chapter.

PROJECT #001 | Flip-Top Bar

Found on Facebook Marketplace for $80.
Most people would have painted it. I wanted to uncover what was already there.

After hours of sanding and refinishing, this vintage flip-top bar is ready for its second life.

Popular in mid-century homes, flip-top bars when home entertaining became part of everyday American culture. Instead of dedicating an entire room to entertaining, furniture makers designed elegant cabinets that could quietly live as accent pieces.

This one isn't for sale.

It's staying with me as the piece that reminds me what Moss & Found is all about.
