Bibbidi Bobbidi Boo!
Our grand finale of gowns worn for the Shenandoah County Fair Scholarship Pageant that the Fairy Godmother altered, is this customized Ritzee Tweens gown, in White with Gold rhinestone detailing, from Ruby Mae's!
In addition to taking the bedazzled bodice in at the back, this customized gown had the most changes done to it:
originally this tulle ballgown with sweetheart neckline had illusion cap sleeves that came around to a high neckline at the back, decorated with Gold flat-back style rhinestones, but this princess wanted sheer off-shoulder sleeves instead.
So Fairy Godmother Alterations carefully removed the sheer netting part from the upper back before taking it in along the zipper seam, and then shortened the zipper to the edge of the now-strapless neckline.
Next, she carefully trimmed the beaded translucent material down and shaped them into off-shoulder sleeves, and then moved around some of the beading so that the reflective beaded designs wouldn't look cut up and cropped.
The newly re-designed off-shoulder sleeves were then sewn into the strapless bodice, now accentuating the sweetheart neckline.
Voila! The top of the gown was transformed! ✨️ and fit for a princess.
Since the ballgown skirt was just a hair too long, a hoop skirt was suggested to avoid hemming off the curled edge of the skirt, keeping the skirt's original hem style. Plus, she can also continue to wear it as she grows.
This princess looked absolutely bedazzled in her one-of-a-kind customized gown with gold-beaded bodice that's reminiscent of the French-Provincial era.
Until next time, Bibbidi Bobbidi Boo!
