Okay, for real for real, this is the final post. Yesterday morning, we packed and shipped the very last orders for Dapper Xpressions and I felt compelled to write this.

Adrean and I want to pause and honor two women who were truly the backbone of our production and the steady hands behind so much of this brand.

Gilberta (2018–2024)
Ana (2021–2026)

Gilberta’s sewing skill is truly superb. She was always willing to jump in and help us explore something new. From embroidered bandanas to sports bras to leg warmers. She even taught me new tips and tricks along the way and was someone I genuinely looked up to as a seamstress. Her openness, creativity, and mastery of her craft helped expand what this brand could be. Her husband, Mike, was a huge help as well and we'd like to thank them both.

Ana joined us at a critical time—when my hip was deteriorating and I was preparing for emergency hip replacement surgery. She stepped in with dedication and steadiness when we needed it most. She was someone we could always count on. When a customer unexpectedly needed early shipping, Ana never questioned it. She expedited the order, completed it quickly, and brought it back ready for us to ship. Her reliability and work ethic carried us through some of our most challenging moments.
Together, their skill, consistency, and care brought our suspenders, bow ties, and blazers to life. They didn’t just help us process orders, they helped us build Dapper Xpressions.

We are deeply grateful for the role they played in this journey.

This is our final post as Dapper Xpressions.

From the very beginning, Dapper Xpressions was built on creativity, trust, and people willing to believe in something a little different. To every customer, supporter, collaborator, and friend—thank you. Thank you to those who saw the vision and chose to trust my unique designs and inspiration.

Thank you to the nerds, the professionals, the quirky groomsmen, and the women who boldly embraced accessories traditionally labeled “for men” and made them their own. You expanded this brand just as much as we did. And to the sock lovers who weren’t afraid to make their feet bold and let their toes do the talking. You made statements without saying a word, and you showed us just how much personality could live in a single pair of socks.

And lastly, I need to thank my husband, Adrean.

Without him, this brand would not be what it became. He made it possible for me to express myself creatively in ways I never could have on my own. We wouldn’t have had the depth of selection we did. We wouldn’t have sustained the sock line. His role as sock maker, customer service lead, and CFO carried this business through some of its most demanding seasons.

But beyond the business, he carried me. He held down our home, our kids, our dinners, and our daily life—fully present, fully engaged—so I could create. His vision paired with my attention to detail worked in perfect balance, and this brand is proof of that partnership.

Dapper Xpressions was never just a business.
It was teamwork.
It was trust.
It was love in motion.

One of the most unexpected and joyful chapters of Dapper Xpressions was our pet line.

What started as a fun idea quickly became something so special: tiny bow ties, decorative leashes, custom collars, and furry models who stole hearts everywhere. They reminded us that style isn’t just for people… it’s for every member of the family.

These little faces helped bring laughter, warmth, and personality to our brand in ways we never imagined.

As we say goodbye to this season, we’re saying goodbye to our pet accessories too—grateful for every wag, every pose, and every smile they brought to this journey.

Yesterday we shared some of the products we tried along the way—pieces that had their moment and helped shape this brand.

There were more we could have shared: Christmas stockings, winter hats, chokers, wrist bows… all part of the journey.

But these? These were the ones that got away.

Our leg warmers took off in a way we never expected. You loved them. They sold fast. And for a season, they became something special. But their popularity quickly outpaced what we could realistically produce while staying true to the heart of our handmade process.

Sometimes success creates its own limitations.

So we had to let them go—not because they weren’t loved, but because they were too loved.

They remain one of our favorite “what could have been” chapters in the Dapper Xpressions story.

These two changed everything for us.

Back in 2017, they became our very first brand ambassadors. In doing so, they quietly expanded the vision of Dapper Xpressions. What began as a formalwear brand suddenly became something more. They showed the world that girls love suspenders too. That style has no box. That suspenders can be playful, bold, casual, and full of personality.

Through their confidence and creativity, they helped our customers see what we hadn’t fully seen yet—that this brand was about expression, not just occasion.

They didn’t just wear Dapper Xpressions.
They helped shape it.
