Today marks 5 years of owning this little shop, and what a journey it has been.

When I first purchased the business, it was known as GypsySoul—a casual clothing and home décor boutique with photography and screen printing upstairs. I never could have imagined all the changes, challenges, opportunities, and blessings that would unfold over the next five years.

They say that when a business makes it to 5 years, it’s a milestone worth celebrating. Small businesses face countless obstacles, and many never reach this point. Looking back, I’m incredibly grateful that we’ve not only made it through, but have continued to grow and evolve into what The Dress Shop is today.

To our customers: thank you for trusting us with your special moments and for supporting a small-town business year after year.

To my staff: thank you for your hard work, dedication, and for caring about our customers as much as I do.

To my family and friends: thank you for your encouragement, support, and understanding during the busy seasons and long days.

And most of all, thank you to my husband, Jeb. Small business ownership comes with incredible highs and some very difficult lows. Through every late night, stressful season, big decision, celebration, and setback, you’ve been right beside me. Thank you for believing in me, supporting my dreams, and helping me navigate the ups and downs that come with building a business in a small town. I truly couldn’t have done this without you.

My heart is full today. Thank you to everyone who has been part of this journey. Here’s to five years of memories and to whatever comes next.

I’ve had a few people ask about what our hours will be when we re-open on August 5 and I LOVE your interest and excitement about our availability ❤️
In September, we will be open til 8pm on Mondays, as well.
Couple fun facts:
We do not do appointments. You can stop in at your convenience during business hours.
We will begin accepting consignment again on August 5. Scroll through our posts for more info on this subject.
We carry sizes XXS-3X. We do our best to maintain a nice selection of all sizes.
