Today I turn the keys into 111 N Main St. El Dorado, Ks. Home of Trunk2Treasures Boutique & Gifts. Today ends a chapter in this book of life that’s part of my journey. I will treasure the memories made, the friendships that came too, the many different events I participated in to bring to the community, supporting and cheering on other women in small business, and most of all the laughter. One of my big projects was bringing Tamara Gonzales in and helping her measure the statues around town to create crochet items to dress them up for Old Fashioned Christmas. The amazing work and hours of creating she did that not only locals but people from out of town came to enjoy. Working with Phil Benedict, Paige McDaniel from the Chamber of Commerce, and other local business owners to get a Downtown Market going. Working closely with Amy Kershner, Jill Jenkins and a dear customer Cinda to bring the First Witches Night Out to El Dorado. The many events I held in my store giving a platform to support other entrepreneurs to help launch their small businesses and get their name out there selling their product. From essential oils, new boutique owners, gluten free treats, handmade clothing and much more.

I went to the Farmer’s Market on Sunday and had several people ask me are you okay? I want you all to know I am not sad about closing the store. It was a decision I thought about and prayed about for months. Where one thing begins there is always an end. My time was served in our community and God spoke to me that my work was done here downtown. I am looking forward to the new path he is leading me to. Life is a journey where we grow, have bumps in the road that molds and shapes us into the person we are suppose to be. My faith has carried me through 53 yrs and I put my trust in the the Lord completely.
I may not be in a storefront downtown anymore, but I am working to keep creating and have events that I will be popping up at along with something else I will announce in the future, but for the rest of the summer I’m going to enjoy life take a mental health and much needed break. I want you to know I love each and everyone of you that have touched my life in a positive way. This is not a goodbye this is I will see you later. XOXO 😘 Denise.
