With the new pageant season approaching I will need you to sign this liability agreement when you come to pick up the dress when you arrive.
I do understand that accidents do happen.
This agreement is designed to protect both parties and clearly outline responsibility for any damage, loss, or destruction of the rented dress
LET THE PAGEANT SEASON BEGIN
Dress Rental Agreement and Damage Liability
This Dress Rental Agreement is entered into between J.B. Designs ("Owner") and the undersigned renter ("Renter").
Rental Terms
By renting a dress from J.B. Designs, the Renter agrees to the following:
1. The rented dress remains the sole property of J.B. Designs at all times.
2. The Renter agrees to return the dress on or before the agreed return date in the same condition in which it was received, excluding normal wear associated with careful use.
3. The Renter is responsible for any damage to the dress while it is in their possession. Damage includes, but is not limited to:
◦ Tears, rips, or holes
◦ Stains or discoloration
◦ Missing buttons, bows, trims, beads, rhinestones, lace, or embellishments
◦ Burn marks
◦ Alterations or modifications of any kind
◦ Damage caused by pets, smoke, food, drinks, makeup, or improper storage
4. If the dress is damaged and can be repaired, the Renter agrees to pay all repair costs as determined by J.B. Designs.
5. If the dress is damaged beyond reasonable repair, lost, stolen, or not returned, the Renter agrees to pay the full replacement value of the dress.
6. The replacement value of the dress shall be determined by J.B. Designs and may include the cost of materials, labor, embellishments, and any associated expenses required to recreate the dress.
7. Payment for damages, repair costs, or replacement costs is due within ten (10) days of notification by J.B. Designs.
8. Failure to pay for damages may result in legal action to recover the amount owed, including court costs and any other allowable expenses.
