Dear Little Liris,
If I could sit across from you today, look you in your eyes, and tell you one thing, it would be this: BABY GIRL, WE MADE IT! ❤️✨
You have no idea how many times life will try to convince you that you’re not enough, that your dreams are too big, or that the world isn’t ready for a girl who looks like you. But keep dreaming, keep showing up, and never apologize for taking up space.
One day, the very body you were told to shrink will become your superpower. You’ll walk into rooms you once only dreamed about, break barriers in an industry that wasn’t built with women like you in mind, and help change the way the world sees beauty. You’ll become Liris Crosse — “The Body,” a pioneer, an actress, a model, and a voice for women who need to see themselves represented.
But what I’m most proud of isn’t the runways, the accolades, or the doors you’ve opened. It’s the woman you’ve become through every disappointment, every rejection, every detour, and every moment you had to remind yourself who you are.
You’ll learn that rejection is redirection, that being overlooked doesn’t mean you lack value, and that God’s timing will often look nothing like your plans. You’ll learn to protect your peace, honor your worth, set boundaries, and stop shrinking yourself to make other people comfortable.
And on the days when you feel like you’re behind, remember this: YOUR STORY IS STILL UNFOLDING. You are not late. You are not forgotten. You are becoming.
So, little girl, keep your head up. Keep your heart soft, your standards high, and your faith stronger than your fears. There is so much more waiting for you than you can imagine.
Today, as I celebrate another year of life, I celebrate YOU, too. The little girl who dreamed, the young woman who dared, and the grown woman who refused to give up on herself.
