It might be a s**t show at times, but this is a rewarding life.

You see our clips on the course, but the work doesn’t stop when we leave the golf course.

The top left pin on the 5th turns the easiest par 3 at Kingsley into one of the toughest. The bowled green slopes away from this highpoint and even great golf shots end up 40 feet away with a 5 foot slope to climb. Most people don't hit it hard enough when trying to gauge the speed perfectly.

The good news? A giant backboard long for those brave/strong enough to send the ball long!

Some of the most fun rounds at Kingsley are with players who want the full experience of using the topography to maneuver the golf ball along the ground.

It isn’t like most courses where your only option is a chip that lands short and rolls up to the hole. More often than not, the safer and more fun shot is to play away from the trouble, send it long and use some sort of backboard to ease it back toward the pin.

Shoutout to Drew Gandy for being a complete backboard aficionado. I can’t tell you how many times he said, “I know I can do it this way, but what’s the more fun route?”

Putter from the path??? Ohh yeah.

This was the best up and down of the day. We don't need to get into the specifics of what it was up and down for..but fun shots like this are the reason we love this game.

The best part of Kingsley’s 515-yard 17th hole? If your drive carries 240 yards, the ski-slope fairway takes it for a ride.

But even after rolling all the way downhill, you’re still left with roughly 170 yards to a green that plays 12 yards uphill, with a 30-yard false front waiting for anything short.

Like most of Kingsley, it’s feast or famine.

The first green out here has more options than most people realize. Sometimes the right play isn't even on your radar.
