Yes, he's the best putter I caddie for. And guess what...

He's rolling a 40-year-old PING Anser 2 Beryllium Copper putter that's been in his bag since high school.

20+ years. Same putter. Still pouring them in. 🎯

Meanwhile, some of you are on your fourth putter of the season, convinced the next $500 flatstick is finally going to fix your stroke.

Maybe it's not the putter. 🤷‍♂️

Dom and Curtis found themselves 2 down stepping up to the 16th tee.

Playing 215, Dom was the only one to hit the green, leaving himself ~40 feet beyond the hole for birdie.

After the other 3 hit up, I gave Dom his line and went to rake the left bunker. Mid-push, I hear the ball drop into the hole followed by a good amount of excitement from Team Dom/Curtis.

1 down. 2 to play.

17 was a tough hole for the boys, playing into the wind from the back-back tees. A solid 2-putt from the top-left tier to the bottom-right was enough to square the match heading to 18.

All square. 1 to play.

What you don't see in the video is the other team hit a great shot into 18 and had about 12 feet to halve the match.

A pulled putt killed the dramatic finish, but it was still an electric scene.

Days like this remind a guy how great his job is.

You’ll hear me say, “If you can putt, you probably should,” about a dozen times a round.

Here’s a situation where keeping the ball on the ground is not your best option.

Short right to the front pin on 1 is an easy place to miss, but anything rolling over that front right slope is heading straight toward the front left bunker.

Grab the lob wedge, open the face, and use that beautiful backboard!

Sometimes the safest play is going airborne.

A topped 3 wood rolled out to a perfect gap wedge number from the top of the hill on 17.

Pulled it, but caught the left side of the green, leaving a putt from the top tier to the bottom that had to ride straight down a ridge line.

Miss your line by more than a few inches on either side and it snaps away from the hole, leaving 6 feet at best.

Instead? Center cut.

And this one was worth a little more than a birdie.

The Scotch match had already been pressed, then rolled and rerolled off the tee.

Prox. Low ball. Low total. Birdie. Umbrella.

A friendly $2 game turned into $96 changing hands on one hole.

Gotta love multipliers.

I don't want to become predictable by only posting the "good" shots.

And truth be told, this was a quality golf shot considering he was choking waaaay up on a crazy sidehill lie in the bunker face.

If that darn clubhead wouldn't have gotten in the way, he'd have had a decent chance of getting up and down.

Instead, back into the 8 foot deep bunker.

Bummer!
