They say you shouldn't talk trash but I disagree. While Cheyenne looked after the shop today, I took my first full day off in many months. It's been a great day for me to do the exact things I wanted to do and that includes going through and distributing all of the "trash" that I picked up driving through our local (in Maryland) campus after college move out. This year, I got there late because I had too much going on but I still was able to grab quite a bit. As the end of the month approaches, there will still be more from the apartments near the university. I couldn't get the big stuff because I was by myself but I did get quite a bit of the smaller stuff. I do this every year and over the years, I have been able to give a lot of it away to friends who have kids going away to college in the fall and I also set up a little free spot in our front yard on sunny days like today and it all gets picked up pretty quickly. What are your thoughts on how we can convince kids to donate their stuff instead of tossing it?

I bought so much stuff at the estate sale including all of these beautiful wooden trays and bowls. To give you an idea of the size, that is a BIG apple that's sitting on that tray in front. I washed the trays today and let them dry in the sun and now they're ready to be oiled. Can't wait to see their transformation! The downside is that the sale was in Baltimore and these items won't be in the shop for a couple weeks but they'll make it in eventually.

In the meantime, come see all the other fresh merchandise that we've recently put out. We're open tomorrow, Friday May 29th and Saturday, May 30th from 11-4.

Do you have an existing retail business and are looking for new space? Beginning June 1st, the shop next to us will be available for rent. It's a beautiful, crisp, move-in ready space with great storefront windows and natural light. In the words of Mr Rogers....won't you be my neighbor?
