I tested my new distiller with some lavender I left on the bush. Distilled 4 columns worth (column holds 14 liters of lavender bud). Here is a short video explaining the process.

So much has happened this season.
In July there was a Lavender Distilling class here as a fundraiser for ECEC (Elkton Community Education Center). It was limited to 12 participants, class filled up quickly. Everyone left with their own lavender oil, hydrosol and we attempted to make lavender wands. Need more time for the wands - plus I'm left handed and teaching right handed people . . . didn't work out to well. But I believe everyone had a good time We are hoping to repeat it again next summer.
It was a record year in the U-Pick field! Finally met a goal I set and was able to purchase a beautiful copper distiller from Ukraine. More on this subject in an upcoming post. I'm so excited
