Today, we were asked to pray over our pastors at church, and it brought back so many memories of the years we spent as lead pastors. As much as I loved it, ministry was also demanding and, at times, incredibly difficult.

The countless hours poured into ministry… Sunday mornings, hospital visits, funeral services, jail visits, baptisms, weddings, and everything in between. The conversations, the prayers, the late nights, and the heart behind cultivating an atmosphere of worship and prayer. So much of ministry happens behind the scenes, in moments most people never see.

Do I still miss those days? Absolutely. But I’m learning that God is still using me right where I am. I love how He uses The Cheer Up Boutique to come alongside women, open doors for prayer, and encourage hearts.

Ministry doesn’t always happen inside the four walls of a church. Sometimes it happens across a boutique table, through a simple conversation, a prayer, or a reminder of God’s love.

When God places a gift and an anointing on your life, it doesn’t disappear when your season changes. He can use it in different ways, in different places, and through different assignments.

The assignment may look different, but the heart behind it remains the same. I’m learning to embrace where God has me today while remaining grateful for where He’s brought me from.

We’re all on a journey, and everyone’s journey looks different. We can look ahead with expectation while still appreciating the past. We can miss what was without missing what God is doing now.

And sometimes, the most beautiful thing we can do is trust Him with the season we’re in. ❤️
