This is easily the largest and heaviest thing I have ever dyed. It was an extreme challenge finding enough space to lay it out, mind you damp so extra heavy. Took me several hours with a few re-dos, to get it tied right. Dyed the ocean and beach, then rinse. Wasn't good enough so washed, retied, and dyed again. Then another rinse and wash, and tie back up to do the sky, which also took 2 rounds. Total of 13 hours hands on, not including wash and rinse cycles.
I absolutely love how it matches the wall art in this Florida beach house. I did not see that before dying it, it just magically matched perfectly! Visit Don Kaufman to see it in person!
