Finished up this sweet moss stitch prayer shawl I’ve named Chrysocolla. The delicious color palette reads like a slow walk through a tide pool with mossy rocks and deep water shadows. And that’s a wrap…literally! Named this gal Sapphire, she’s a really sweet French Butter Cream pattern, and I hope she brings comfort to her recipient. I’ve decided with this prayer shawl adventure, I would challenge myself to learn a new pattern or stitch with each new shawl I create to burn new neuropathways in my retirement brain. Super excited to play with that yummy variegated fun next as I hunker down during this latest cold snap.

My first project of 2026 finished! This scarf aligned perfectly with some intentions I set for the new year…using what I have and living more compassionately. The amethyst acrylic worked up great with the waffle stitch and will be a warm hug around a special lady as she attends her Red Hat Society events this winter.

Basically started this gift last week on a beach in North Carolina. Today my crafty momma heart is so full finishing it up (infusing it with so much love) in the air en route to New Hampshire to spend Christmas with our youngest. I can’t wait to wrap it around his neck like a hug that will stay with him long after I’m back home.
