SITA Couture and the Historical Derby community cordially invite you to our 3rd annual Winter Solstice celebration this Saturday, December 21, 2024, from 1 PM to 6 PM. ✨
Join us for a festive shopping experience as our boutique and the entire community come alive with local, predominantly Native, and women-owned businesses.
Enjoy speeches and poetry related to the Solstice, listen to beats by the Red Warrior drummers, and indulge in delicious food and tea.
We are thrilled to announce that our newly arrived, hand-woven Native belts and trims from Uruapan are now in stock! These trims and belts, which many of you have been eagerly awaiting, pair beautifully with everything in the SITA Couture collection. We can’t wait to share the beauty, artistry, and stories behind our fashion.
In addition to our new arrivals, we will be featuring AMAZING Native women-owned and local businesses, including Bonita Beads, Ruth Ann’s N8iV Beauty & Skin , Rose’s , Tygers Tea Kombucha , Judy Comptons Hiens’ homemade candles , and integrative bodywork sessions by in the airstream. Our wonderful neighbors at .exp will also be joining us.
This event honors and celebrates the meaningful, powerful work being done by our sisters and brothers at Way of the Sacred Mountain and brings awareness to the issues surrounding Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women (MMIW). We proudly announce that Teyana, co-founder of Way of the Sacred Mountain, will be present to share her journey, inspirations, and visions.
The event will include prayers led by family and relatives, creating a meaningful moment of reflection and unity.
A portion of the proceeds from sales at this event will be donated to Way of the Sacred Mountain, supporting their important work.
We look forward to celebrating new beginnings with you✨🌻🪶
