Ted's Clothiers has been in business for over 35 years and was started by Ted Vasilas, who emigrated from Greece in pursuit of the American Dream in 1973. He learned the art of tailoring from a master haberdasher and decided that with his keen eye for style and men's fashions coupled with his attention to detail for accommodating the perfect fit, he opened his own tailoring and menswear business in June of 1975. Ted's objective is to make you feel good while you look good in your clothes. Originally located in a small shop on South Girard in Old Englewood, Ted's Clothiers carried primarily business attire, suits, sport coats, dress shirts, slacks and ties. When Ted's Clothiers moved to the present location on South Broadway in the mid-80's, they expanded their offering to include business casual attire, outerwear and formalwear. In the mid-90's, Ted's expanded again and added 2,000 square feet and launched the men's casual shop where they broadened the product lines to include resort-wear, golf attire, dress and casual shoes, hats and lounge wear. Ted's also began selling boys dress clothing such as suits, sport coats, dress shirts, ties and slacks. In 2007, Ted's Clothiers established a partnership with Jim's Formalwear to offer formalwear rentals at a reasonable price. This service allows Ted's customers to rent tuxedos or suits for the special occasions in your life. Ted's is truly the only full-service men's and boys wear establishment where you can get incredible customer service, the highest quality merchandise and a good value for your money. Ted and his son Chris attend several national men's shows in Las Vegas, Chicago and New York each year.
