This week is all about the collab!

The best projects happen when the architect, builder, and designer are aligned from the very beginning — all focused on the same goal- which is creating the best possible result for the client. When everyone brings their expertise to the table and works as a true team, the work is always stronger.
Our Mt. Vernon project was one of those collaborations. It was our first project with Pauli Uribe Architects, alongside FH Perry, and we are so grateful for the opportunity to work with both teams. Pauli Uribe gave us beautiful bones to work with, FH Perry executed everything flawlessly, and together we created some of our favorite spaces to date.

Here are some my favorite shots from the project and a great reminder that good design is always a team effort.

On my last trip to our Osterville project, where we were working on the main house, I wandered over to the guest house for a revisit and was reminded how much I love this bedroom. It feels both masculine and feminine, calm but with just enough movement to keep it interesting.
I’m usually all about color, but this combination of brown and white is truly one of my favorite color pairings. Timeless, warm, and still one of my favorites.

One more joy post for the week… and this one makes me happy for so many reasons. There are pieces in this room from some of my favorite people and companies in the business — , , and — and what I value most are the relationships behind it all. This business is built on relationships, loyalty, and people who truly care about what they create.
Over the years many of these collaborators have become real and best friends, and that part means just as much to me as the design itself. And once again, the common theme of these joy posts… a wonderful, trusting client who simply said “do your thing” — so I did.

More joy to spread this morning! This exercise has me looking back at old projects and I am thankfully finding that i am loving them just as much as I did when they were completed. This is a living room from our Beacon Hill project completed over 10 years ago. I love the symmetry of the space, the trim on the windows is sublime and the console is from one of my all-time favorite antique dealers, Barry Hutner at Parc Monceau.
You’ll probably notice a common theme with these posts- the clients were incredibly trusting and really let me do my thing — and that always leads to the most amazing results!

I definitely have a tendency to overthink Instagram posts- I go back and forth on what to post, if it’s good enough, etc etc. It’s exhausting- so i am adopting this mantra from now on— overthink the good stuff and post whatever brings me joy! So today I’m posting this sunroom at our Palmetto Bluff project. I love this room and everything in it, but what makes it even better are the wonderful, trusting, generous clients behind it all. Enjoy — and focus on joy today and overthink the good stuff!

I am definitely feeling nostalgic about my room from last year- I loved it so much. It was truly a reflection of everything I learned growing up in the Atlanta design world!
