Great Lakes Shark Sock Co. To provide comfort and security to not just our feet, but to what matters most to us. Great Lakes Shark Sock Co. was created in 2016. with everything we do.

We wanted a product that would be both unique and better our future. Our mission statement is “To provide comfort and security to not just our feet, but to what matters most to us.” We live this statement in our work by making a quality sock and for attempting to make our future just a little bit better with our quarter program. We try to live by our acronym “LIFE.”

We believe in Made In U.S.A. Our cotton is purchased from a company in North Carolina. The cotton is then made into socks from a fellow entrepreneur in North Carolina. The socks are then sent to another company in North Carolina to be cleaned and boarded. Our socks are then shipped up to Michigan to be handled and shipped to our customers. It takes multiple companies to create these socks, but everyone of those companies are hard working American companies. Our company is family owned and operated, as well as, veteran owned and operated. My wife and I truly believe family comes first, but we also both grew up in family businesses. It is very hard to put family first sometimes when running your own business. You may feel like you are putting family first, but the family feels otherwise. We grew up with this feeling and now try to truly make our children feel they are first. It may not be easy, but we do our best to successfully run our businesses and put our family first. If you are wondering, why Great Lakes Shark? My grandfather would always say, “You can travel the world looking for the bluebird, but all along he was hiding in your back yard.” This world of ours is beautiful, but there is no place more beautiful than home. Our family calls the Great Lakes home and our last name is Shark. There is no place more relaxing than a small quiet place on the water. Between the waves crashing, wind blowing, and sand on your feet, you’ll find peace.

It has been awhile since I have posted anything on our socks! We are still creating, shipping, and keeping your feet warm. We just haven't been active on social media this year.
